Trio Work by Margarida Marquez Ramalhete, Georges Labbat and Julia Rubies in collaboration with Ward Ginneberge
Music: Alvin Lucier. Special thanks to Femke Gyselinck, our peers, and Performance and Research Training Studios.
https://fortrioclickhere.wixsite.com/trio is a piece by 3 - 4 performers, on the music Music for accordion with slow sweep pure wave oscillators by Alvin Lucier.
Our meeting point originated with Lucier’s piece.
Inspired by 90s video games which the performers used to play during their younger years, the performers slide through the digital performance of the body, its virtual representations and the white utopias and their social desires constructed around it. Without imposing a specific ideology, the piece is suggestive of reflection or contemplation of some of our daily routines through their mirroring, with some displacements.
The collaboration has been initiated within the frame of PARTS Personal Work. It has been performed several times internally and to the public within the context of student performances in 2018. In the same year it was selected to be performed at KAAP (Brugge) and on the closing evening of the Generation XII Festival (PARTS).
